Two iconic symbols of Scottish heritage unite as Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, becomes a Presenting Partner of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in a new three-year collaboration announced ahead of the event’s 75th anniversary.
A Historic Collaboration Celebrating Scottish Tradition
The partnership between Glenfiddich and The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo brings together two of Scotland’s most globally recognised institutions. Starting this year, visitors attending the Tattoo from August 1–23 will be able to enjoy a specially curated range of Glenfiddich whiskies across bars on the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade, in hospitality suites, and at the prestigious Royal Gallery.
In 2025, Glenfiddich will officially become Presenting Partner of the Royal Gallery, the exclusive VIP space offering stunning panoramic views of Edinburgh and its iconic Castle, as well as prime seating for the world-famous military performance.
A Shared Commitment to Excellence and Heritage
Dougal Gordon, Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich, said:
“We are extremely pleased to become an Official Sponsor of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of the most prestigious and vibrant events in the international events calendar.
“Both Glenfiddich and the Tattoo showcase the very best of Scottish tradition with a forward-thinking, global mindset. Our whisky has been produced in the same family-owned distillery in Dufftown since 1887, and we’re proud to support an event that, like us, celebrates heritage, innovation, and community.”
Supporting Military Charities in a Milestone Year
This year’s Tattoo is particularly special, marking 75 years since the first performance in 1950. To commemorate the milestone, the event is donating an incredible £750,000 to military charities including the Army Benevolent Fund, the RAF Benevolent Fund, and The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
The 2025 theme, “The Heroes Who Made Us,” will honour the performers, military personnel, and organisers who have shaped the Tattoo’s rich history. As part of the celebration, Glenfiddich will help elevate the experience for VIPs, visitors, and performers alike with its award-winning Scotch whisky.
Jason Barrett, Chief Executive of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, added:
“Glenfiddich and The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo are aligned in so many ways – both with deep Scottish roots and a global reputation for excellence. We’re thrilled to welcome Glenfiddich to our family of partners and look forward to guests enjoying a dram to the backdrop of the Massed Pipes and Drums.”
