Glengoyne Distillery Celebrates a Landmark Achievement in Whisky Excellence
“Gratulerar!” — Congratulations to Valerie Marsh, Brand Homes Cask & Facilities Manager at Glengoyne Distillery near Glasgow, who has been honoured with a rare accolade by the Swedish Whisky Federation (SWF), earning a coveted spot in their Hall of Fame.
The SWF, which connects around 10,000 members across 250 whisky clubs in Sweden, recognises individuals who have made a significant impact on the whisky community. Marsh’s induction acknowledges her decades-long commitment to educating enthusiasts and promoting Glengoyne Whisky internationally.

Valerie Marsh: A Whisky Icon
For over 20 years, Valerie Marsh has worked closely with Swedish whisky clubs, sharing her expertise in whisky maturation, oak cask selection, and flavour development. Her deep knowledge of whisky, combined with a talent for creating engaging experiences, has helped cultivate a loyal following of whisky connoisseurs in Sweden and beyond.
SWF President Susan Stenström described Marsh as an “internationally important icon in our whisky community”, noting her ability to build lasting connections and enhance appreciation for Scotch whisky. Marsh joins an elite group of non-Swedish recipients, including Frank McHardy and Michael Urquhart.

Valerie Marsh said: “It is a joy and honour to be recognised in this way. I greatly enjoy my contact with Swedish clubs and sharing the magical world of whisky. This shared interest binds us, and I always have the best interests of customers at heart when reviewing samples and giving feedback.”
Celebrating at Glengoyne Distillery
To mark the achievement, 10 representatives from the Swedish Whisky Federation, led by Susan Stenström, visited Glengoyne Distillery on 7 November 2025. The group also attended the Glasgow Whisky Festival, sampling some of Glengoyne’s rarest expressions, including:
- Glengoyne Mizunara

- 25-Year-Old Sherry Oak
- 30-Year-Old Rosebank, Glengoyne’s sister whisky from Falkirk
Marsh was presented with a stunning, handcrafted copper and glass trophy to commemorate her Hall of Fame induction.
